California Vehicle Code Section 42005
prohibits drivers with a class A, class B or commercial class C driver license from
attending traffic violator school for the purposes of dismissing and suppressing traffic
violations from a driving record. This prohibition applies to any violation issued on
September 20, 2005, or later and committed with any class of motor vehicle.
Identity Verification
Requirement:
The Madera County Superior Court requires verified testing for all students who choose the
home study traffic school option. After completion of the program, the student is required
to take a test and have their identity verified. There are various ways to have your
identity verified and some may require travel to a third party location that may be
different from where the coursework was completed, while other methods can be completed
online. Locations, times and methods for verified testing vary. Please read the
instructions for the program you select before registering for the course.
